Job summary

Saksoft in Singapore seeks an experienced Applications Developer with 5-8 years in Java/J2EE. You will design, develop and implement changes to complex NEMS systems, perform peer reviews, and work closely with the Applications team and business users to deliver secure, cost-effective solutions within agreed timeframes.

You will contribute to system specifications, adhere to change control processes, and promote best practices while reducing manual tasks through automation and providing

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of applications development experience in Java/J2EE stack.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern web frameworks and databases.
• Experience ensuring security across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• The design, development and implementation of applications related changes to agreed timeframes and standards.
• Responsible for peer code reviews to ensure the quality of the code deployed in the NEMS systems.
• Collaborate with Applications team and business users to maximize benefits in a cost-effective, secure and low-risk manner.
• Provide assessments on impact and risk of changes to systems and business.
• Create concise detailed specifications and implement changes per specifications.
• Follow change control and version control processes for auditable changes.
• Offer best-practice recommendations and streamline manual tasks into automation.
• Provide application support to Operations when needed.
