Job summary

QUESSCORP SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer with robust Java/J2EE expertise to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications.

This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable software following established development standards and best practices. Responsibilities include translating requirements into scalable designs, leading technical discussions, writing high-quality code, and mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
• Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, and enterprise patterns.
• Experience with Spring Framework/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architectures.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, WebSphere, Tomcat).
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Experience in unit testing, debugging, and production support.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable designs and software solutions.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using J2EE technologies and best practices.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to solution architecture.
• Develop high-quality, secure, reusable code adhering to standards.
• Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical feasibility assessments.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support test phases and deployment activities.
• Investigate defects, incidents, and performance issues with root-cause analysis.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with BAs, Solution Architects, QA, and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including deployment guides.
• Mentor junior developers and promote development best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, security, and SDLC processes.
