Job summary

QUESS SINGAPORE is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant with strong Java and modern application development skills to design, develop, and deliver enterprise software solutions.

You will provide technical consulting, support solution design, lead architecture and integration activities, and mentor junior consultants across the SDLC.

The role requires collaboration with BAs, Architects, developers, QA, and stakeholders, with emphasis on RESTful APIs, cloud-native apps, and best-practice coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, Node.js, PHP, Scala, and Laravel.
• Experience with frontend frameworks including AngularJS, Angular, and React.js.
• Knowledge of AWS Serverless, Akka, and cloud-native application development.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Aurora).
• Experience with Maven, Gradle, npm, Yarn; Git, Bitbucket, SVN; Docker, Jenkins, AWS; Linux/Windows.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.
• Lead technical solution design, application architecture, and system integration activities.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Perform technical analysis, effort estimation, solution reviews, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards, security guidelines, and software quality requirements.
• Support system integration, testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production support activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design and deployment guides.
• Contribute to business development with proposals, presentations, and effort estimations.
• Mentor junior consultants and developers, promoting best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, development methodologies, and operational efficiency.
