Job summary

The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth seeks an experienced internal auditor to join the internal audit team supporting MCCY and its statutory boards. You will provide assurance and advisory services, assess control adequacy, perform risk assessments, and deliver audit reports with actionable recommendations to management.

Beyond financial, compliance and operations, you will conduct value-for-money reviews, educate line divisions on internal controls, and may be posted to MCCY family

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant audit experience; public sector background preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CIA or CISA are advantageous.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent engagement and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise audit engagements, including objective setting and risk assessment.
• Oversee fieldwork activities and reporting in compliance with IPPF standards.
• Assess residual risk and track management action plans and follow-ups.
• Educate line divisions on internal controls and best practices for the public sector.
• Be posted to MCCY family statutory boards to support internal audit activities.
