Job summary

The Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) is seeking an Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director (Audit Unit) to perform independent reviews of internal controls and IT processes, providing assurance to the Audit Committee and recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include leading audit projects, advising on governance, risk and controls, and driving digital transformation with automation and analytics while working with stakeholders

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant audit experience is required.
• Professional qualifications such as CA or CIA are preferred.
• Good knowledge of IT controls and data analytics is a plus.
• Experienced candidates may be considered for a senior role.

Job description

The Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director (Audit Unit) supports Director (Audit Unit) by conducting independent reviews and appraisals of the internal controls and IT processes of the Ministry to provide reasonable assurance to the Audit Committee over the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with internal policies, applicable laws and regulations, as well as to recommend areas of improvements to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage internal audit projects, including planning, fieldwork and reporting
• Provide advisory support on governance, risk and controls considerations
• Support special reviews or investigations as requested by management or the Audit Committee
• Drive the audit team's digital transformation using automation, digital tools and data analytics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of governance, risk and control

Requirements

Functional Competencies

• Background in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration or related fields, with at least 5 years of relevant audit experience.
• Professional qualifications such as CA or CIA are preferred.
• Good working knowledge and understanding of IT controls, processes and data analytics is a plus.
• Experienced candidates may be considered for a senior role.
