Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime, a global leader in marine technology, seeks an experienced Principal Instrument Engineer to lead the Instrumentation discipline on offshore projects. You will guide complex technical challenges, ensure safe and reliable solutions, and coordinate across multidiscipline teams throughout the project lifecycle.

You will act as the primary technical interface with clients, authorities, and vendors, and mentor engineering staff while supporting recruitment and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
15+ years in instrumentation & control engineering for offshore oil & gas projects.
Lead engineer or discipline authority on EPC/EPCI projects with relevant standards.
Experience with ICSS integration and offshore project execution.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership as SME for Instrumentation discipline on offshore projects.
Lead instrumentation activities for FPSOs and offshore platforms, including design reviews.
Develop and govern engineering standards, specs, and best practices.
Interface with clients, certifying authorities, EPC contractors, and vendors.
