Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, and operate Linux and Windows systems and middleware (IIS, MS-SQL, JBoss, Tomcat, Kubernetes). The role supports solution architects and collaborates with software, network, and infrastructure teams to implement solutions and troubleshoot issues.

You will maintain documentation, ensure SLAs, and work across a broad technology stack in a enterprise IT environment, with emphasis on on-premises systems and cross-team

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT/CS/CE.
• Experience with Linux and Windows servers.
• Knowledge of IIS, MS-SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and middleware/open-source tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer enterprise-wide applications (IIS, MS-SQL, Apache HTTPd, Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Kubernetes, Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Monitor and maintain application and infrastructure environments daily.
• Define hardware requirements for application solutions with teams.
• Coordinate with software, network, and infrastructure admins to implement solutions.
• Troubleshoot web, middleware, and database environments to identify issues.
• Identify performance bottlenecks in web environments.
• Apply troubleshooting methods to differentiate infra vs. environment issues.
• Maintain stability and performance of web environments.
• Update documentation to reflect current system setup and configurations.
