Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is hiring a Systems Engineer to own end-to-end infrastructure, design, implement, and operate enterprise platforms across Linux, UNIX, Windows, and virtualization stacks. The role emphasizes automation, reliability, and cross-geography collaboration.

You will monitor systems, respond to incidents, and support migrations and OpenShift-based environments while collaborating with multiple teams and vendors to improve overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in CS/Engineering/IT.
• 3+ years in Systems Engineering, Administration, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience supporting enterprise Linux/UNIX/Windows environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering, administration, and operational support for enterprise infrastructure and product environments.
• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage, and container platforms.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and support incident/change/problem management processes.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, infrastructure, and applications.
• Administer VMware environments, support OpenStack migrations, and maintain VMs for sandboxes/training.
• Build, administer, and maintain OpenShift clusters and perform vulnerability remediation.
• Support enterprise services including storage, virtualization, SQL Server; experience with IBM MQ/IBM AIX is advantageous.
• Develop automation scripts and manage configurations across environments.
• Analyze performance, enhance monitoring/alerting, and improve reliability, security, scalability.
