Job summary

Airwallex is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our global infrastructure team in Singapore. You’ll design, implement, and operate secure, scalable network architectures across cloud and on‑prem environments to support fast‑growing fintech platforms.

You’ll collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience, while mentoring junior engineers and shaping the future of our global networking strategy.

Qualifications

CCNP / JNCIP level networking experience.
Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco or Aruba in a global company.
Strong AWS network design and operations experience (≥3 years).
Good documentation and change-control experience.
Basic understanding of Google Cloud networking.
Knowledge of AI-assisted workflows a plus.
Solid CLI skills across JunOS/IOS or equivalents.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

Maintain and expand Airwallex’s global cloud network infrastructure across regions.
Design team structure and scale for the future.
Mentor and train junior engineers.
Configure and troubleshoot complex network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
Manage global connectivity over international leased lines and domestic internet.
Act as first responder for complex network incidents and produce after-action reports.
Collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, Database, and Facilities to support initiatives.
Troubleshoot network issues across physical and cloud environments.
Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
Evaluate networking technologies to support growth.
Participate in global on-call rotation and production support.
