Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical design experience.
• Experience with underground structures and deep excavations for senior role; fresh grads may apply as Geotechnical Engineer.
• Proficient in MicroStation and PLAXIS.
• Able to interpret ground conditions and prepare GIR.
• Familiar with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes 2, 3, 7 and 8.
• Independent, organised and able to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Job description

You will be part of the Geotechnical Team, supporting the Director in tender submissions and the delivery of projects for various government agencies, including LTA, PUB and HDB.

Responsibilities

• Undertake geotechnical engineering design for MRT stations, buildings, civil infrastructure, underground structures and deep excavations.

• Ensure engineering design and deliverables meet client requirements and the approved Basis of Design.

• Coordinate project submissions to local authorities and provide technical support during the construction stage.

• Liaise with the engineering team, Qualified Persons (QPs), clients, consultants and relevant authorities on technical matters.

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, where applicable.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical design, particularly for underground structures and deep excavations for Senior Position. Fresh graduate can apply Geotechnical Engineer.

• Proficient in MicroStation and PLAXIS, with good knowledge of other engineering design software and analytical tools.

• Able to interpret ground conditions and prepare Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIR).

• Familiar with geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring.

• Good knowledge of relevant design codes, including Eurocodes 2, 3, 7 and 8.

• Independent, organised and able to work effectively under pressure.
