Job summary

Emerald Project Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to execute designs for building and infrastructure projects, including geotechnical work, and to prepare calculations that meet codes and client specs.

You will review drawings, coordinate with authorities, mentor junior engineers, and communicate technical issues clearly with clients and consultants to drive safe, compliant delivery. Experience with Euro Code 2 and Euro Code 3 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master-level civil/structural engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience in structural or geotechnical projects.
• Ability to use engineering design software and analytic tools.
• Familiarity with Euro Code 2 and Euro Code 3.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Job Summary

Responsible for executing civil, structural, or geotechnical designs by preparing calculations and reviewing structural design drawings to meet customer specifications, applicable codes, standards, and accepted engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed building and civil infrastructure projects, including geotechnical, underground excavation, and tunnelling works, to meet project requirements.
• Perform structural and infrastructure analysis and design to ensure safety and compliance with engineering standards.
• Coordinate project submissions and approvals with local authorities and manage technical liaison during construction stages.
• Communicate technical information effectively with clients, consultants, and authorities to resolve design and construction issues.
• Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers to enhance team capability and project delivery.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree from a reputable institution, preferably recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural or geotechnical design.
• Proficient in engineering design software and analytical tools to produce accurate design outputs.
• Knowledge of design codes such as Euro Code 2 and Euro Code 3.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
