Job summary

Illumina in Singapore is seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the transformation of the Data Platform into the next generation, aligning with the Illumina Software Architecture. You will drive the architecture for a new genomics data platform and collaborate with global teams on cross-product solutions.

You will ensure timely delivery of high-quality informatics products, champion AI-assisted development, and work with R&D across geographies to meet customer needs at a system level.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands on experience in developing SW architecture for large complex solutions.
• Experience using AI tools to develop software and architecture.
• Experience delivering products in FDA regulated environments would be desirable.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with cloud hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with data pipelines and workflow orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture to transform the existing Data Platform to the next generation and integrate it with our Informatics offerings.
• Provide leadership for the architecture of a new Data Platform for genomics.
• Participate in the global SW architecture team for cross product solutions and integrations.
• Contribute to delivering high-quality informatics platforms on committed timelines through resource planning.
• Champion AI-assisted development.
• Collaborate across Illumina's global teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Build connections across R&D and geographies to meet customer needs at a system level.
• Implement program best practices per Illumina's Product Development Process.
• Support Singapore SW Development to raise technical competencies.
