Job summary

NEW HOPE COMMUNITY SERVICES LIMITED is seeking a finance professional to lead accounting functions, prepare budgets, and provide analytical insights for strategic decision-making. The role emphasizes compliance with accounting standards, tax governance, and cross-functional collaboration with department heads.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant finance experience in the social service sector, strong IT and MS Office skills, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors.
• Relevant finance experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and ensure timely monthly and year-end reports and analysis by reviewing submissions from subordinates.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, collaborate cross-functionally with HODs to support and align financial plans with business objectives.
• Strong in analysis of financial numbers; highlight discrepancies or issues.
• Ensure books maintained in compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policy.
• Review GST and corporate tax computations and tax-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
• Provide commentaries on operational performance and support planning, operations, and implementation of financial controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and continual re-engineering of policies.
• Provide support and guidance to the finance team, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Assist in treasury and bank-related matters including cashflow forecast.
• Any other related duties in New Hope CSL as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
