Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree or Diploma in relevant disciplines.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors.
• Relevant finance experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and ensure monthly and year-end reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts; collaborate with HODs to align financial plans with business objectives.
• Analyze financial numbers to highlight discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain books in compliance with accounting standards and company policy.
• Review tax compliance for GST and corporate tax computations.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
• Provide commentaries on performance and support planning and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive best practices.
• Provide support and guidance to the finance team and foster collaboration.
• Assist in treasury and cashflow forecasting.
• Any other related duties in New Hope CSL as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing accounting and ensure the accuracy and timely submission of monthly and year-end management reports and analysis by reviewing submissions from subordinates.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts, collaborate cross-functionally with HODs to support and align financial plans with business objectives.
• Strong in analysis of financial numbers; and to highlight any discrepancies or issues.
• Strong relevant accounting knowledge and updates of relevant Accounting Standards and company policy to ensure books are maintained in compliance and order.
• Review and ensure tax compliance for activities including GST and corporate tax computation and tax-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
• Providing commentaries on operational performance and support operational planning, operations, and implementation of financial and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of best practices; and this may include review of policies and continual process re-engineering.
• Provide support and guidance to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
• Assist in treasury and bank related matters including cashflow forecast.

Education and Experience:

• Relevant finance experience in the Social Service sector would be an advantage.
