Job summary

S&P Global, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst, Commission to oversee the end-to-end execution of sales compensation programs, ensuring accurate and timely payouts and strong financial controls.

You will work closely with Sales, Sales Operations, and Finance to model incentive outcomes and provide actionable insights. The role requires advanced Excel, Power BI, and SFDC experience, with knowledge of incentive management tools such as Xactly Incent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, sales compensation, sales operations, or financial analysis.
• Deep understanding of sales compensation mechanics (quotas, crediting, commissions).
• Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, complex formulas, data modeling).
• Hands-on experience with SFDC; experience with incentive compensation management like Xactly Incent a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of sales compensation programs with accurate commissions and payouts.
• Administer quota and crediting processes and map transactions to reps.
• Use SFDC and compensation tools (e.g., Xactly Incent) to maintain clean data and resolve inquiries.
• Build and optimize data models and incentive calculators with Excel and Power BI.
• Forecast compensation expenses, accruals, and payouts with variance analysis.
• Review calculations and payouts for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities from sales performance and payout patterns.
• Drive process improvements to improve scalability, transparency, and efficiency of compensation ops.
• Prepare management reports on compensation performance and program effectiveness.
