About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 09

The Role:

The Senior Analyst, Commission will play a critical role in the financial planning, analysis, and operational support of our sales incentive programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of commission plans, managing quota and crediting processes, and maintaining strong financial controls. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, driven by numbers, and brings strong technical proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Salesforce (SFDC), and compensation systems.

Responsibilities and Impact:

This role is central to ensuring our compensation programs are executed flawlessly and remain financially disciplined. • Administer and track complex quota and crediting processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately mapped to the appropriate sales representatives.

  • Leverage SFDC and compensation management tools (e.g., Xactly Incent) to maintain clean compensation data, track performance, and resolve crediting inquiries.

  • Utilize advanced Excel and Power BI to build, maintain, and optimize complex data models, incentive calculators, and financial reports.

  • Forecast sales compensation expenses, accruals, and payouts, providing detailed variance analysis against budget and prior periods.

  • Review commission calculations and payout processes to ensure absolute accuracy, compliance with plan terms, and alignment with internal financial controls.

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through the ongoing analysis of sales results, attainment distributions, and payout patterns.

  • Drive process improvements and standardization efforts to enhance the scalability, transparency, and efficiency of sales compensation operations.

  • Prepare clear, concise reporting and presentations for management regarding compensation performance and program effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, sales compensation, sales operations, or financial analysis.

  • Deep understanding of sales compensation principles, specifically the mechanics of quotas, crediting, and commission structures.

  • Advanced technical proficiency in Excel (including Power Query, complex formulas, and data modeling) is required.

  • An exceptional affinity for numbers with rigorous attention to detail and accuracy—you catch the mistakes that others miss.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex, high-volume data into clear business insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict payout deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
