Job summary

Samsung Electronics Singapore is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to provide frontline technical support during product development, ensuring qualification and mass production milestones. You will gather customer requirements, communicate issues to the HQ team, and build strong customer relationships.

You will conduct regular visits, present pre-sales technical information, and analyze feedback to guide product improvements, with focus on notebook display systems across ASEAN

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the electronics industry.
• Field Application Engineer experience in notebook display industry.
• Understanding of the ASEAN and India display ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Deliver front-line technical support to customers during product development to resolve issues and facilitate progress.
• Gather and document detailed technical requirements and specifications from customers to guide product development.
• Communicate technical issues clearly and provide detailed explanations to the HQ Application team for resolution.
• Conduct regular customer visits to build and strengthen long-term relationships and trust.
• Assist customers throughout product qualification phases to ensure adherence to development schedules until mass production (MP).
• Present pre-sales technical information on product strategies, roadmaps, features, industry trends, and competitive positioning to customers.
• Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform Marketing on design requirements, product improvements, and new product opportunities.
• Demonstrate and explain new products to customers to support adoption and understanding.
• Perform tests and evaluations for display product qualification to verify product performance and compliance.
