Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the marketing plan for events.
• Support core team functions in terms of acquisition.
• Handle advertising and promotional activities of the exhibition including visitor programmes.
• Manage floor plans and organizer requirements.
• Liaise with operations and Finance for logistics, operational needs and expenditure.
• Maintain supplier relationships with agencies, suppliers and contractors for stands, transportation, accommodation and PR.
• Assist in research, media monitoring and business development.
• Arrange dates, venues, floor plans, setup, sizes and rates for exhibitions and conferences.
• Negotiate with and appoint official media, airlines, hotels, travel agents, sales and PR agencies.
• Plan and execute effective marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns for projects.
• Plan and run conferences/seminars/workshops with advisory committees, speakers and VIPs.
• Develop revenue-generating ideas: directories, diaries, merchandising, shows, etc.
• Source mailing lists and manage databases of potential sellers and hosted/trade buyers.
• Identify latest technology and software to improve work processes.
• Build and maintain rapport with industry associations, government bodies, steering committees and clients.
• Train and supervise Event Executives and collaborate with Operations.
• Submit and update project timelines and reports.
• Conduct regular meetings/presentations for staff and organisations.
• Hold post-mortems after shows and submit full reports.
• Respond to surveys from trade organisations or media.
• Draft core processes flowchart and identify bottlenecks.
• Manage costs and revenues in P&L statements.
• Assist in other duties as required.
