Job summary

MSIG Singapore is seeking a Claims professional to investigate and settle claims for commercial and personal insurance. The role involves responding to client inquiries, negotiating settlements, and coordinating with solicitors, surveyors and adjusters to ensure timely resolutions.

The candidate should hold a tertiary education and a CGI qualification in general insurance; knowledge of Property & Casualty or Motor lines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and negotiate settlement of claims.
• Respond to correspondence and provide efficient service to clients.
• Instruct on reserve provision, registration requirements and verify data entries for files setup.
• Review claim files, monitor recoveries and set reserves; coordinate with clients, intermediaries, solicitors, surveyors and adjusters.
• Provide a technical reference point for queries.
• Approve claims payment.
• Train and assist junior staff.
• Assist senior staff on large/complex claims handling.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Investigate and negotiate settlement of claims

• Review claim files including monitoring of recoveries, setting of reserves, clients and intermediaries management, assignment and management of solicitors, surveyors, adjusters, third-party administrators and other vendors as necessary

• Approve claims payment
• Train and assist junior staff
• Assist senior staff on large/complex claims handling
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Tertiary education
• Minimum CGI qualification in general insurance. ( Candidates without qualification will be given reasonable time to obtain the qualification )

• Candidates with no experience will be considered
• With experience in Property & Casualty/ Motor business would be advantageous
