Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline.
• At least 5 years in 3PL, freight forwarding, bonded warehouse or ship chandlery operations.
• At least 2 years of supervisory / team-leading experience.
• Experience handling Singapore Customs permits.
• Familiar with bonded store or licensed warehouse operations.
• Working knowledge of SAP and WMS.

About the Role

Our client, an established ship supplies company, is looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to lead a small team handling 3PL / Vendor Managed Inventory accounts and bonded store operations.

You will oversee daily operations from order processing and inventory control to Customs compliance, customer coordination and billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3, including daily work planning and task allocation

• Manage the full order-to-delivery cycle for 3PL accounts

• Coordinate shipments, receiving, picking, packing and export bookings

• Handle goods receipt and inventory transactions in SAP and WMS

• Oversee bonded and non-bonded stock operations

• Manage inventory levels, cycle counts and stock takes

• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies

• Act as the main contact for 3PL customers and handle operational escalations

• Ensure monthly customer billing is accurate and completed on time

• Oversee Singapore Customs import, export and offland permits

• Reconcile bonded stock against Customs records and maintain audit documentation

• Manage documentation and renewals for Hazmat and TradeFIRST licences

• Handle RFQs, supplier sourcing and price negotiations for bonded goods

• Prepare cost, margin, inventory and operations reports

• Support the Sales Director on new business and overseas supply opportunities

• Ensure key processes are properly cross-trained with backup coverage

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline

• At least 5 years of experience in 3PL, freight forwarding, bonded warehouse or ship chandlery operations

• At least 2 years of supervisory / team-leading experience

• Experience handling Singapore Customs permits

• Familiar with bonded store or licensed warehouse operations

• Working knowledge of SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

• Good inventory control and operational coordination experience

• Comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers and internal warehouse teams

• Hands-on, organised and able to manage multiple priorities

• Experience with TradeFIRST, Hazmat licensing or VMI accounts will be an advantage
