Job summary

PAP Community Foundation is seeking a Centre Manager for the Active Ageing Centre in Singapore. The role oversees daily operations, partners with the community, and ensures services align with MOH/AIC standards. Experience in eldercare operations and strong MS Office skills are desirable.

The position requires supervisory experience, flexibility for after-hours work, and the ability to lead a small team delivering high-quality services to seniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Social Work or Gerontology preferred.
• At least 2 years of eldercare/active aging center operations experience preferred.
• Evening and weekend availability as required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead daily operations of the Active Ageing Centre aligning with AAC senior management and MOH/AIC guidance.
• Develop a Community Outreach Plan to achieve annual senior engagement targets.
• Strengthen relationships with community partners to support seniors.
• Engage community partners in collaborative projects benefiting the wider population.
• Monitor activities to meet MOH/AIC five domains and report regularly to AAC management and MOH/AIC.
• Lead and develop staff to deliver professional services to Active Ageing seniors; manage training documentation.
• Maintain records on operations, networking, incidents, income and expenses.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the daily operations of the Active Ageing Centre, in alignment with directions of AAC senior management and MOH/AIC
• Develop a comprehensive Community Outreach Plan for the service boundary to achieve the annual allocated target of seniors to be engaged
• Strengthen existing relationships and identify new community partners to support and address the needs of the seniors in the community
• Proactively engage community partners to cooperate and work together in community projects that benefit the greater population
• Monitor and conduct regular reviews, with the team, on the activities in the Active Ageing Centre to ensure the activities meet the five domains required by MOH/AIC
• Compile and submit required reports on a timely basis, to AAC Senior management and MOH/AIC
• Manage and effectively guide staff to maximize their strengths and potential in delivering professional services to the Active Ageing seniors
• Manage the training and competency of staff and keep proper training documentation
• Keep proper records on operations-related documentation such as networking, incidents, income, and expenses
• Attend to any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Manager

Job Holder Requirements and Qualifications:

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Diploma from an accredited University or Polytechnic. Preferably in the field of Social Work or Gerontology
• Experience: Preferably at least two years of experience in an eldercare setting with direct operational roles such as handling an active aging center

Other Knowledge / Skills / Attributes:

• With prior supervisory experience and strong interpersonal skills, both a team player as well as able to work independently
• Be able to work in the evening and on weekends when necessary/required
• Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and administrative skills
