Job summary

STMICROELECTRONICS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced Equipment Engineer to maintain and optimize tools for thin film production in a cleanroom environment. You will drive uptime improvements, reduce defects, and implement preventative maintenance plans to boost reliability and MTBC.

The role requires 5+ years in equipment engineering for PVD films, experience with Cu plating, and strong analytical and communication skills to work across levels and with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as Equipment Engineer in Thin film (PVD).
• Experience with LAM SABRE Cu Plating.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, 8D, Ishikawa and root cause analysis tools.
• Growth mindset and strong analytical skills.
• Effective communicator across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Continually improve tool uptime availability, drive defect reduction and enhance hardware capability.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and improve MTBC.
• Analyze FDC data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization.
• Provide On Job Training for junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Drive cost reduction projects.
  Work with equipment vendors, Hookup and Facility Team to perform tool relocation, startup and commissioning.
• Communicate with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
  Maintain work environment 5S.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimumof5 yearsofexperienceas an Equipment Engineer in Thin film (PVD)'
• Experienceworking in LAM SABRE(Cu Plating).
• General knowledge of Risk Assessment, 8D, Ishikawa and Root Cause tools.
