Job summary

STMicroelectronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Equipment Engineer to focus on maintaining and improving tool performance in a cleanroom production environment. You will diagnose failures, implement effective solutions, and work with vendors and internal teams to ensure uptime and product quality.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in PVD-related equipment, knowledge of Endura/LAM Sabre systems, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer in Thin film (PVD).
• Experience working in PVD Endura or LAM Sabre (Cu Plating).
• General knowledge of Risk Assessment, 8D, Ishikawa and Root Cause tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment performance in a cleanroom environment for quality production.
• Continually improve tool uptime availability, drive defect reduction and enhance hardware capability.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and improve MTBC.
• Analyze FDC data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization.
• Provide On Job Training for junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Drive cost reduction projects.
• Work with equipment vendors, Hookup and Facility Team to perform tool relocation, startup and commissioning.
• Communicate with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
• Maintain work environment 5S.
