Job summary

GovTech is seeking a dedicated professional to support Environmental Site Assessments and contaminated land management across Singapore’s industrial estates. You will oversee environmental studies, manage consultants and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

You will lead ESA policy formulation, evaluate reports, coordinate with stakeholders and oversee procurement for ESA projects, driving safe and compliant redevelopment of industrial land.

Qualifications

• Background in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in environmental site assessment, contaminated land management or remediation works.
• Experience in ESA studies, landfill investigations, air quality assessments or remediation technologies.
• Familiarity with environmental regulatory frameworks.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as ESA policy holder, formulating, reviewing and updating EBS policy.
• Evaluating ESA reports submitted by companies and guiding team members on report assessment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and consultants on ESA policy implementation to safeguard Singapore's industrial land.
• Manage the procurement process and oversee ESA consultants in conducting ESAs and evaluating complex ESA cases.
• Lead and manage Environmental Site Assessments for development and redevelopment projects.
• Oversee land contamination investigations, risk assessments and remediation works.
• Manage consultants and contractors for environmental studies, including air quality, landfill assessments and remediation works.
• Review and evaluate technical reports, environmental monitoring results and remediation proposals.
