Job summary

GovTech's Waste Management Division seeks a senior regulatory specialist to lead development and regulation of the beverage container return scheme in Singapore. You will engage stakeholders and support the Zero Waste Masterplan objectives.

You will administer the scheme, perform on-site audits, review compliance reports, process grants, and analyse data to improve efficiency and enforcement across agencies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Sustainability, Environmental or Waste Management.
• Strong project management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; data analytics aptitude.
• Willingness to work after-hours and on weekends if required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and regulate the beverage container return scheme, ensuring compliance and engaging stakeholders.
• Ensure scheme operator's and stakeholders' compliance with Acts, Regulations and licensing conditions; review reports and plans; conduct on-site audits.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and handle enquiries to provide timely information and guidance.
