Job summary

SSMC, a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, in Singapore, is seeking a Senior Engineer for Characterization & Electrical Test to join Technology Development. You will lead device characterization and WAT activities, shaping production readiness.

The role requires strong CMOS/Bipolar knowledge, experience with WAT/bench tools, and collaboration with process integration and reliability teams. A background in semiconductor physics and independent working style is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in semiconductor, electronics, electrical, physics or material engineering.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics and WAT/characterization.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Perform CMOS/Bipolar device characterization measurements on WAT testers and bench tools.
• Set up WAT program for NTOs and optimize tester and prober recipes for production.
• Interpret characterization data and work with process integration engineers to improve devices.
• Assist in reliability measurements and interpret results.
• Support adherence to automotive test requirements and WPH calculations.

We're searching for a Senior Engineer, Characterization & Electrical Test to be part of our Technology Development, Characterization & Electrical Test Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Have a strong foundation of CMOS and Bipolar device knowledge to perform device measurements
• Advanced knowledge of statistics or six sigma
• To set-up WAT (Wafer acceptance Test) program for NTO's (New Tape-out)
• To set-up and optimize WAT tester and prober recipe for production
• Perform device characterization measurements both on WAT testers and Bench tools.
• Interpret device characterization measurement data and work with process integration engineers.
• Help set-up reliability measurements and interpret the data
• Strong knowledge of Automotive test requirements.
• WAT test operations
• WAT probe card mechanism and PM know-how
• Knowledge of WAT WPH ( Wafers per hour ) calculations and capacity needs

More about you

• Bachelor/Master degree in semiconductor/electronics/electrical/Physics/Material engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• One year or more experience in WAT or Characterization
• Good interpersonal skills in working with different cultures and multi continental teams.
