Job summary

SSMC in Singapore seeks a Senior Equipment Engineer to join the Photo, Equipment Eng. I department. You will sustain and improve equipment performance, provide first-line support on shifts, and lead preventive maintenance and PM optimization for manufacturing equipment.

You will manage spare parts, calibrations, and ISO compliance, while driving continuous improvements across the fab and collaborating with Mother FAB for benchmarking and PM cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimally 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals.
• Provide first-line technical support during rotating/swing shifts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting.
• Set up a system to ensure uninterrupted supply of dummy wafers, chemicals, and coater cups.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize costs.
• Document maintenance procedures and review data to support improvement.
• Forecast PM schedule and spares/consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments is timely and within specs.
• Ensure ISO standards requirements are met.
• Involve in machine part repair and R&M reduction activities.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping and safety in the Fab.
• Establish communication with Mother FAB for knowledge transfer.
• Participate in ERT and Transform programs to optimize equipment use.
• Execute new equipment start-up from facilities hook-up to acceptance.
• Daily Rework, RTM, FDC, SPC, alarm 3, and EMAP reviews.

We’re searching for a Senior Equipment Engineer to be part of our Photo, Equipment Eng. I Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operational goals, while providing first-line technical support during rotating/swing shifts
• Perform preventive maintenance and Level 1 & 2 troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Setup a system to ensure un-interrupted supply of dummy wafers/ chemicals/ coater cups.
• Control and optimize spare parts inventory to minimize cost without undue equipment down time due to parts not available.
• Document preventive maintenance and recovery procedures, track machine performance, and review data to support continuous improvement
• Forecast preventive maintenance schedule and spares/ consumables usage.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments are done timely and within specs.
• Familiar with ISO standards requirements and ensure that the section meets them.
• Involve in machine Part repair and R&M reduction activities for self-sufficiency.
• Ensure good 6S housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab
• Establish communication channel with Mother FAB to transfer BKM and perform benchmarking.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) program to response during emergency situation.
• Participate in Transform (10k idea, LSS & BKM) programs to optimize equipment utilization and PM cost.
• Execute new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment for production
• Daily Rework, RTM, FDC, SPC, alarm 3, and EMAP review and close follow up

More about you

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 1-3 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• PRO Z experience (minimally 1 year)
• Engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle and wafer fabrication processes.
