• Engineering degree in ICT infrastructure design or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in ICT/multi-disciplinary consulting with tech emphasis.
• Experience in ICT design consultancy and project management.
• Experience designing ICT infrastructure and ICT fit-out migrations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ICT projects as independent work packages or part of a wider set.
• Design ICT solutions including concept and detail design, tender specs, and assist tender evaluation.
• Collaborate with vendors to deliver ICT for new construction and A&A projects.
• Provide site monitoring during installation and commissioning of ICT solutions.
• Provide ICT/Smart Buildings advice to clients.
• Lead or support bid responses for ICT/Smart Building opportunities.

The Opportunity

We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer – Building Technologies (ICT Consultant) to join our Singapore team and become part of a network of over 400 Building Services professionals across the Asia Pacific.

You will be working with a diverse client base on a variety of projects, delivering sustainable and high-performance building solutions that shape Singapore’s built environment. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, take on both technical and leadership responsibilities, and contribute to the successful delivery of key projects.

About You

As a Senior Engineer – Building Technologies (ICT Consultant) at Beca, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of technology infrastructure for iconic developments for some of Southeast Asia’s leading developers. You will combine your technical expertise with innovative thinking to design and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency, security, and performance. Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Deliver ICT projects as independent work package or as part of a wider suite of Building Services consulting services
• Design and develop ICT solutions, including concept and detail design documentation, tender specifications, and assist in the evaluation and selection of tenders
• Work with system vendors and suppliers to deliver solutions for new construction and A&A projects
• Provide site monitoring and supervision services during the installation and commissioning phases of projects involving ICT solutions
• Provide ICT / Smart Buildings technology advice to clients (internal and external)
• Lead or support bid responses for ICT / Smart Building opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Engineering degree in an appropriate ICT infrastructure design discipline, or equivalent qualification/experience (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, BICSI, etc).
• At least 5 years’ working experience with the below:

1. ICT / Multi-disciplinary consulting firm
2. Construction industry project management (with a technology emphasis)
3. ICT design consultancy and project management experience
4. Experience in designing ICT infrastructure, planning ICT Fit-out migration and occupation

• Technical understanding of:

1. Structured Cabling Systems
2. LAN Ethernet Switching
3. Fibre Optic & Copper Cabling Systems
4. Data Cabling Containment Systems
5. Telecommunication Network Infrastructure and Services
6. Wi‑Fi Network Communications

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, able to present and facilitate meetings and workshops
• Ability to translate user requirements and analysis into technical requirements to meet objectives
• Strong people skills in active listening and building trusting relationships
• Highly collaborative and self-starter, proactive in keeping key stakeholders up to date with progress
