Job summary

BDx is seeking an Electrical Manager / Senior Electrical Manager in Singapore to lead electrical engineering design for data center projects. You will develop electrical infrastructure, power generation and distribution, and lighting/earthing systems, collaborating with customers and stakeholders to finalize designs.

The role requires hands-on experience in data center design across the full lifecycle, familiarity with Tier III/IV principles, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• 5–8 years of hands-on design and engineering experience in data centers or critical facilities.
• Familiarity with Tier III/IV design principles (Uptime Institute).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering calculation/design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design from utility infeed to IT equipment for hyperscale data centres.
• Prepare concept designs, load calculations, distribution topology and PUE metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and consultants through project lifecycle.
• Oversee consultant teams in detailed electrical designs including MV/LV, generators, UPS, and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, standards and sustainability objectives.
• Attend site meetings, inspections and commissioning activities.
