Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking an Electrical Engineering Leader to direct end-to-end electrical design for mission-critical facilities in Singapore. You will oversee utility connections, substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, power distribution, grounding, and lighting layouts, ensuring alignment with safety and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical frameworks and regulatory, design, and permitting processes in Southeast Asia.
• Deep technical proficiency in mission-critical electrical systems with high-availability planning.
• Knowledge of IEC and EN standards with practical experience applying local electrical codes.
• Ability to lead and coordinate complex engineering design workstreams with strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end electrical design for mission-critical facilities and oversee utility connections, substations, switchgear, UPS, backup gensets, and power distribution.
• Strategize MV/LV power distribution topologies, redundancy, equipment spatial planning, and load capacity modeling for growth.
• Ensure designs comply with guidelines, industry best practices, and local regulations; incorporate lessons learned.
• Facilitate cross-disciplinary integration across mechanical, architectural, structural, fire/safety, ICT, controls (BMS/EPMS), and security teams.
• Act as technical authority to maximize reliability, safety, maintainability, and operational readiness.
• Conduct design validation reviews of single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, calculations, and drawings.
• Manage external consultants, construction contractors, and vendors to select and procure suitable solutions.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction, oversee testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
