Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical system design, installation and commissioning to meet standards.

Job Description:

• Oversee the technical specifications, design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they comply with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Provide expertise in developing electrical engineering plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Develop and review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications, ensuring they meet project requirements.
• Lead electrical system troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Understand electrical methodology and interfacing sequences.
• Ensure installations and operations meet standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical system specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements by coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Address and resolve technical problems with various parties.
• Prepare MOS, inspection test plans, safe work procedures, and other documents such as RFIs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on job progression and completion.
• Communicate with all levels and resolve conflicts.
• Lead and guide a team of contractors, manage operations, and drive work progress.
• Prepare detailed work schedules, plan ahead, conduct presentations, and track task progress.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead and influence.
• Efficient, with good analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
• Degree/Master's in Electrical Engineering or similar, from a recognized university under the BCA.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical system design.
• Knowledge of system migration, system integration, equipment tie-in, and system modification (e.g., FC, Generators).
• Proficient in electrical CAD tools, Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD software.
• Good knowledge of HT, frequency converters, and generator sets (new build or replacement).
• Able to start work immediately or on short notice.
