Job summary

Recruit Expert Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Singapore to design and deliver power systems and protection schemes for transmission and distribution projects.

You will translate customer requirements into SLDs, schematics, GA drawings, BOMs and technical specifications, while coordinating with regional stakeholders. The role requires strong hands-on design experience with transformers, MV/LV switchgear and prefabricated substations, plus familiarity with

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant electrical design experience in power systems/T&D.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power & Distribution Transformers, MV/LV Switchgears and Prefabricated Substations.
• Good knowledge of electrical design principles, standards and documentation; experience using AutoCAD, EPLAN or ETAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver electrical engineering designs for power transmission and distribution projects (SLDs, schematics, GA drawings, BOMs, specs).
• Review customer requirements and tender specs and translate into suitable electrical designs.
• Lead technical coordination with customers, internal teams and regional stakeholders to address interfaces and deliverables.
• Provide technical support during FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning; troubleshoot engineering issues.
• Contribute to value engineering, standards and continuous improvement of electrical solutions; travel regionally as needed.

Job description

• Develop and deliver electrical engineering solutions for power transmission and distribution applications, with a strong focus on Power & Distribution Transformers, MV/LV Switchgears and Prefabricated Substations.
• Review customer requirements, tender specifications and technical documents, and translate them into suitable electrical system designs, including SLDs, schematics, GA drawings, BOMs, specifications and design calculations.
• Lead technical coordination with customers, internal engineering teams and regional stakeholders, ensuring design requirements, interfaces and project deliverables are properly addressed.
• Provide technical support throughout project execution, including FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning, troubleshooting and resolution of engineering issues where required.
• Contribute to value engineering, technical standardisation and continuous improvement of electrical solutions, with occasional overseas travel to support regional projects.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  At least 5 years of relevant electrical design experience in the power systems / T&D sector.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power & Distribution Transformers, MV/LV Switchgears and Prefabricated Substations.
• Good knowledge of electrical design principles, applicable standards and engineering documentation, with experience using AutoCAD; EPLAN or ETAP knowledge.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders at different levels.
