Job summary

SOG Design is seeking a talented Senior Designer, educated in architecture, to join our Singapore studio. You will contribute to concept development, technical drawings, visualisations, and project coordination across built environment and interior projects.

The role excludes licensed architectural services; you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, and embracing new tools and technologies to enhance project delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture or related built-environment discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design, drafting, or project coordination.
• Experience with international or multidisciplinary projects is advantageous.

Role Summary

SOG Design is looking for a talented and driven Senior Designer, trained in the field of architecture to join our Singapore studio. In this role, you will support the development of design concepts, technical drawings, visualisations, and project coordination across a range of built environment and interior projects.

Please note that this role does not involve the performance or representation of regulated architectural services, and the successful candidate will not act as an Architect or Qualified Person (QP) under the Architects Act. We welcome applicants with an architectural background who are excited to apply their skills within a dynamic, design-led studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Concept Development

• Develop and refine design concepts, sketches, and schematic drawings across a variety of project types and scales.
• Translate briefs and client aspirations into clear, compelling design proposals that balance creativity with technical rigour.
• Produce high-quality visualisations, 3D models, and presentation materials to communicate ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.

Technical Drawing & Documentation

• Prepare and coordinate accurate construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation inline with project requirements.
• Review and develop technical drawings, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with project standards.
• Coordinate drawing production across internal teams and external consultants.

Project Coordination

• Support end-to-end project delivery, coordinating with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and specialist consultants.
• Track project milestones and contribute to the achievement of design and delivery goals.
• Assist in managing timelines, documentation workflows, and design deliverables across concurrent projects.

Collaboration & Studio Culture

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing positively to team dynamics and creative discussions.
• Support junior team members, sharing knowledge and providing guidance where appropriate.
• Engage proactively with new design tools, emerging technologies, and industry trends to enhance studio capabilities.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related built-environment discipline.
• Min. 5 years of experience in architectural design, drafting, or project coordination.
• Prior exposure to international or multidisciplinary project environments is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in at least two relevant design software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, 3dsMax, or Enscape.
• Strong ability to translate design concepts into detailed, accurate drawings and visualisations.
• Familiarity with construction documentation processes and project coordination workflows.

Soft Skills & Attributes

• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and consultants.
