Job summary

Dyson Operations Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Senior Design Engineer for New Product Innovation. You will join a multi-disciplinary team to discover and develop disruptive product concepts and new-to-market features, contributing to ideation and realising concepts within the NPI milestones.

You will engineer mechanical and electronic systems, build prototypes, validate concepts through tests and simulations, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or science discipline.
Experience solving complex technical problems.
Creative thinker; works well in focused teams.
Iterative prototyping and testing with clear design process.
Experience with 3D CAD design, product systems, and requirements.
Familiarity with tooling/manufacturing techniques.
Ability to plan and coordinate work with others.
Effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

Generate original ideas and translate into concepts for market opportunities with first-principles communication.
Engineers mechanical and electronic systems optimizing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Design and build functional prototypes for performance validation and stakeholder demos.
Validate concepts via hand calculations, simulations, and rapid lab testing.
Interpret data and present insights in technical reviews with stakeholders.
Maintain design rationale and ensure traceability in decisions.
Develop scalable systems using NX, Teamcenter and ANSYS; collaborate with suppliers.
Collaborate with Research and cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies.
