Job summary

CHECC (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is looking for a competent structural engineer to review proposals, perform design and analysis of building structures, ERSS, railing and façade works, and coordinate temporary works.

You will work with consultants, sub-contractors and site teams to ensure designs meet Eurocodes and local standards. Requirements include a Bachelor in Engineering and at least 5 years of contractor/consultant experience, with proficiency in ETABS, STAADPro, SAFE, AutoCAD, and MS Tower.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years with contractor or consultant experience, preferably in structural steelworks.
• Proficient with engineering design software such as ETABS, MS Tower, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Review design proposals from consultant or sub-contractor.

• Design temporary works including formwork, falsework, scaffolding, and lifting points.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures.

• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers.
• Ensure drawings comply with contractual specs and regulations.
• Attend site inspections as required.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by reporting officer.

Job Description:

• Review design proposals from consultant or sub-contractor.

• Perform structural analysis and design of building structures, ERSS, railing, and façade works using ETABS, STAADPro, and SAFE in accordance with Eurocodes and relevant design standards.

• Design temporary works including formwork, falsework, back-propping, scaffolding, temporary access platforms,crane parking platforms, and lifting points

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures.

• Follow up and coordinate QPD's review and approval of drawings.

• Coordinate and resolve design-related issues arising during site construction.

• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.

• Resolve any construction issues on drawings and liaise closely with relevant departments as well as the authorities, to ensure consistency with contractual technical specifications and statutory rules and regulations.

• Attend site inspection with required.

• Any other tasks that assigned by reporting officer.

Job Requirement

• Candidate must possess Bachelor Degree in Engineering relevant discipline.

• At least 5 years experience in contractor or consultant, strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in structural steelworks.

• Good knowledge of the various engineering design software and analytical tools, for instance Etab, MS Tower, Autocad, will be added bonus.

• Able to work independently and highly motivated with excellent team spirit.

• Working Location: West, will move to Bayfront when the site office is ready.
