Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Returns Debug and Fault Analysis specialist to support Quality & Reliability. You will perform electrical FA on customer returns, analyze ATE/SLT results, and drive board-level debugging to improve product quality across platforms.

You will collaborate with Device Analysis and Product Engineering teams, translate findings into actionable quality improvements, and help define test coverage enhancements while coaching junior engineers in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset with interest in debugging complex systems.
• Experience in root causes digital or analog failure or SCAN/MBIST/High Speed Loopback failure.
• GPU, CPU or x86 architecture knowledge is preferred.
• Java, Python, Perl coding or Linux Shell scripting skills.
• Windows and Linux proficiency.
• JTAG knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Advantest 93k platform an advantage.
• Experience in computing hardware or server platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of PCB boards or Customer Reference Board platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of PCIe, USB, or high bandwidth memory appreciated.
• Experience in AI or ML projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis & report writing on customer returns electrical FA, include analysis on ATE and SLT, duplicate customer reported failure on Platform level and perform board level debug.
• Customer returns debug covering pre & post Mass Production, field return including Excursion/Critical issue, and DPPM improvement.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Device Analysis and Product Engineering to lead fault isolation and root-cause investigations.
• Identify and define test coverage enhancements to strengthen product quality and prevent customer-facing failures.
• Provide technical direction in diagnosing complex issues and translate findings into actionable quality improvements across functions.
• Provide conclusive results and align with Program/PLQ/Customer Interfacing team on final analysis report writing for customer communication.
• Local product ownership roles including understanding, tracking and releases of ATE/SLT/OSV, RMA/OSV program, and go-to person for owned product queries.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers in addressing technical challenges related to IP or failure categories.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
