Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Limited is seeking a Senior Director, DC Operations to lead Malaysia subregion data centre activities and governance. The role drives site mobilization, operational excellence, and cross-functional delivery across construction, commissioning and steady-state operations.

You will manage on-site leadership teams, align with global standards, oversee CapEx/OpEx budgeting, and report to APAC regional leadership with clear risk and KPI visibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services or Facilities Management.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 10 years in data centre operations.
• Proven track record in regional operations leadership, policy development and governance.
• Strong expertise in building services and data centre critical infrastructure.
• Experience in project, program, contract and vendor management.
• Knowledge of risk, change and capacity management; EHS exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all data centre operations within the subregion, including standards and budgets.
• Oversee Subregional OpEx/CapEx budgeting and financial efficiency.
• Lead on-site leadership teams and ensure compliance with global standards.
• Mobilize new Malaysia sites, coordinating training, handovers and turnover.
• Drive operational excellence and consistency across campuses.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure SLAs and onboarding success.
• Support audits and maintain certifications (TIA-942, Uptime, ISO 50001, LEED).
