Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Singapore’s Jurong is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer to shape next‑gen AI, ML, optimisation and control solutions for building automation and energy management.

You will design scalable AI systems, build predictive analytics, and deploy microservices in cloud/edge environments while mentoring engineers and collaborating with architects to deliver data‑driven outcomes across Honeywell’s business units.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Cloud technologies, Machine Learning, Applied AI, Advanced Analytics or Algorithm Development.
• 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience using Python.
• 3+ years of experience using MATLAB for modelling, simulation, optimisation and algorithm development.
• 3+ years of experience developing predictive analytics, optimisation, forecasting or advanced control system solutions.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions into production environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, version control and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with distributed computing and data processing platforms such as Spark.
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, optimisation and mathematical modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise advanced AI, ML, forecasting, optimisation and control algorithms.
• Develop mathematical models, simulations, digital twins and predictive analytics using Python and MATLAB.
• Analyse large-scale operational and industrial IoT datasets and integrate algorithms into platforms and products.
• Develop scalable microservices and deploy AI/ML solutions into cloud and edge environments.
• Mentor engineers and promote data science best practices.
• Join a global team to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions across Honeywell business groups.
• Collaborate with application architects to integrate results into operational platforms with containerized microservices and distributed compute/storage architectures.
• Identify opportunities for growth and efficiency through data analyses across adjacencies and industry developments.
• Develop data modeling, mining, pattern analysis, data visualization and ML solutions.
• Foster relationships with business teams and propose innovative solutions.
• Communicate project output in terms of customer value, business objectives and product opportunity.
• Promote data science methods across functions.
• Work with enterprise teams to outline how platforms enable business growth and productivity.
