Honeywell is seeking a Senior Data Scientist/Algorithm Engineer to design and deploy advanced AI, ML, and optimization algorithms for building automation and energy management. You will model, simulate, and operationalize data-driven solutions across cloud and edge environments, mentoring engineers and collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or related discipline.
7+ years of experience in Data Science, Cloud technologies, Machine Learning, Applied AI, Advanced Analytics or Algorithm Development.
5+ years of hands-on software development experience using Python.
3+ years of experience using MATLAB for modelling, simulation, optimisation and algorithm development.
3+ years of experience developing predictive analytics, optimisation, forecasting or advanced control system solutions.
Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions into production environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, version control and software engineering best practices.
Experience with distributed computing and data processing platforms such as Spark.
Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, optimisation and mathematical modelling.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and optimise advanced AI, machine learning, forecasting, optimisation and control algorithms.
Develop mathematical models, simulations, digital twins and predictive analytics solutions using Python and MATLAB.
Analyse large-scale operational and industrial IoT datasets. Integrate algorithms into operational platforms and customer-facing products.
Develop scalable microservices and deploy AI/ML solutions into cloud and edge environments.
Mentor engineers and promote data science best practices.
Join a high-performing global team and help design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions for Honeywell businesses.
Work with application architects to integrate results into operational platforms including containerized microservices and distributed compute/storage.
Identify opportunities for new growth and efficiencies based on data analyses in adjacencies and industry developments.
Develop data modeling, mining, pattern analysis, data visualization and ML solutions to address customer needs.
Foster relationships with business teams by understanding processes and recommending innovative solutions.
Communicate project output in terms of customer value and product opportunities.
Promote data science methods and processes across functions.
Collaborate with business and infrastructure teams to outline how enterprise platforms enable growth.
