Job summary

GovTech Singapore is hiring for a data infrastructure engineer embedded with the ACRA team to build the Enterprise Data Hub. You will own full data lifecycles, architect pipelines, and govern data quality and security across government data systems.

You will mentor engineers and drive data-driven initiatives, balancing governance with scalable engineering. A 2-year fixed term contract supports flexible work arrangements where possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Data Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years in data architecture/engineering with large-scale delivery, preferably in government.
• 3–5 years of cloud tech experience (AWS, CloudWatch, Glue).
• 2–4 years with Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, and batch/streaming pipelines.
• Experience with data governance tools and REST APIs.
• Strong leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build moderately complex data systems and pipelines.
• Architect robust pipelines with ETL/ELT, streaming, CDC and queues.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive cross-team initiatives.
• Oversee data governance, quality, and documentation.
• Collaborate with GovTech and ACRA teams to meet strategic data goals.
