Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is hiring a Software Engineer to take ownership of features spanning multiple components, with mentorship and a focus on quality, reliability, and team culture.

You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and addressing technical debt while balancing short-term delivery with long-term code health, security, and performance.

The role is a 2-year fixed-term contract; prior government GCC experience is a plus; flexible work arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering and DevOps/cloud infra experience.
• Proven track record building scalable cloud platforms or shared infrastructure.
• Experience driving cross-team engineering standards or platform adoption.
• Bonus: Prior experience working on Government projects on GCC.

Responsibilities

• Own features and tasks spanning multiple components, with independence and mentorship.
• Develop and review code with maintainability and tests; expand test coverage (unit/integration).
• Manage CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines; address technical debt.
• Balance short-term delivery speed with long-term code health, security and performance.
• Monitor impact after deployment; participate in incident triage and resolution.
