Job summary

GovTech is seeking a data engineer in Singapore to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud infrastructure for public sector analytics. You will collaborate with data analysts, SMEs, and product teams to translate complex requirements into robust data solutions.

Candidates should have 5–8 years in data engineering or data science, strong Python and SQL skills, and hands‑on AWS and Terraform experience. A collaborative, agile mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands‑on data engineering or data science experience.
• Proven ability to design and maintain robust data pipelines, integration processes, and data architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (e.g. S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda) and a working understanding of cloud architecture for data workloads.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting and automation.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience designing and maintaining data models and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data pipelines, integration processes, and data architecture to support analytics capabilities.
• Monitor data quality, identify gaps in data, and implement solutions for reliable data foundations.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and structures for operational and analytics needs.
• Ensure data pipelines deliver reliable and timely data for reporting and performance tracking.
• Establish data collection standards and system integrations across AGC.
