Senior Cost Controller — Flexible Location & Global Budgets

Job summary

Exyte in Singapore is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to ensure complete and accurate reporting of revenue and costs. You will collaborate with Procurement, Subcontracts Leads and Project Managers to set up WBS and budgets, monitor trends, and prepare detailed cost and cash flow reports.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering or Science, 10+ years in engineering/construction and 5+ years in cost control, plus advanced Excel and ERP experience (SAP/EcoSys).

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or Science required.
• Minimum 10 years in engineering & construction environment with at least 5 years cost control experience.
• High competency in MS Excel (intermediate to advanced), PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Cost Control Systems (EcoSys preferred).
• Must be fluent in English and an effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Ensure revenue and cost are reported accurately and timely.
• Review WBS and budgets with Procurement, Subcontracts Leads and Project Managers.
• Prepare reports on revenue, budgets, commitments, cash flows, forecasts for management.
• Monitor actual and committed costs; analyze trends and variances.
• Prepare monthly Cost Reports (Excel or EcoSys) and GPR, and client reports.
• Prepare monthly cash flow and 15-week cash flow projections.
• Maintain change orders, budget transfers, risk registers and supporting docs.
• Assist PMs with estimates and CO documentation for client submission.
• Prepare invoicing documentation for Finance and SAP postings.
• Liaise with Finance, Procurement, Operations to ensure accurate cost reporting.
• Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and liaise with stakeholders as needed.
• Support Finance for external and tax audits; assist with risk management processes.
• Coordinate with disciplines and Manpower Management System (MMS) inputs.
• Prepare project and management ad hoc reports; coordinate with SEA projects for cost reports and risk registers.
