Job summary

APL Logistics is seeking a logistics coordinator to ensure efficient management of assigned divisions and to achieve service levels. You will assist in implementing best practices, strategies, and procedures to improve operational performance.

Responsibilities cover coordinating with vendors and customers, tracking deadlines, processing paperwork, and maintaining compliance with policies and local regulations. A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, distribution or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors and customers on daily timelines and schedules; follow up on all daily operational activities to ensure timely completion and ensure adherence to agreed quality standards.
• Track and monitor deadlines; manage lapse in delivery of logistics services.
• Accept, verify and process all paperwork required for logistics movements in the assigned area; follow up on rejected or missing paperwork.
• Check and verify invoices and handle billing processes.
• Attend regular meetings with local logistics service providers to discuss current issues.
• Respond to queries and maintain good relationships with various stakeholders.
• Execute operational policies and procedures.
• Support in preparing reports for stakeholders.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in company policies and local regulations; ensure compliance and highlight non-conformance to Supervisor/Manager.
• Identify and improve processes to increase efficiency and minimize mistakes.
• Maintain and mitigate operational risk and ensure compliance to safety at site
