Job summary

SUNCITY CONTRACTS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a cost estimator to support construction projects locally. You will communicate with management and sub-contractors on cost estimates, prepare tender and contract documents, and monitor budgets to keep expenditures within the project baseline.

The role involves negotiating during the course of the project, developing cost reduction strategies, and ensuring compliance with building contract regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the management and sub-contractors on the adjustments to cost estimates.
• Conduct the negotiations during the course of the project in order to ensure issues are resolved.
• Develop cost reduction strategies to enhance the overall value of the project.
• Monitor project costs to ensure the objectives of the project are achieved in accordance to building contract law.
• Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance to the building and construction regulations.
• Prepare the cost analysis for the project in order to ensure the overall value is enhanced.
• Monitoring subcontractors, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
• Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment
• Writing reports detailing costs and progress
• Review project budgets and expenditures to ensure they stay within the available budget.
• Work with various stakeholders, Project Managers and Contractors, to facilitate smooth project operations.
