Job summary

Staffhub Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage costing, procurement and tendering for civil engineering and building projects in Singapore.

You will review contracts, negotiate terms and oversee procurement, with a focus on cost control, delays, and payments. Candidates with LTA/MRT project exposure and immediate availability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Building works.
• 5 years experience in LTA/MRT projects.

Responsibilities

• Costing, procurement and tendering responsibilities.
• Manage contractual matters relating to cost and delays with the client and subcontractors.
• Review contracts and negotiate commercial terms & conditions.
• Oversee procurement as well as claims and payments.
• Support in contract administration and cost control.
• Project management involving supervision of subcontractors, site inspections, liaising with clients and consultants to ensure timely completion.
• Preparation of progress reports, progress charts and interim progress claims.
• Evaluate claims and recommend payment for subcontractors.

• Reliable with costing, procurement and tendering.
• Well-versed and knowledgeable of construction contract terminology.
• Team support to the Project Manager in Contract Management Cost Control.
• Manage contractual matters relating to cost and delays with the client and the subcontractors.
• Review contracts and negotiate commercial terms & conditions.
• Negotiate with consultants and resolve contract issue.
• Oversee procurement as well as claims and payments.
• Support in contract administration and cost control.
• Negotiation with new suppliers/sub-contractors and dispute management.
• Project management involving the supervision of subcontractors, regular site inspections, liaising with clients and consultants to ensure timely completion of the projects.
• Preparation of progress reports, progress charts and interim progress claims.
• Evaluate claims and recommend payment for subcontractors.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Building works.
• 5 years experience in LTA/MRT projects.
• Candidates on immediate or short notice are preferred.
