Job summary

Zhengda Corporation Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to lead the QS team in contracts administration, budgeting, and cost control for multidisciplinary construction projects.

You will negotiate with subcontractors, manage variations, and ensure timely awarding of contracts to subcontractors and suppliers. The role requires a degree in Building/Quantity Surveying and at least 7 years of full project lifecycle experience, with Singapore Main Contractors experience considered an

Qualifications

• Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in full cycle construction project administration.
• Experience with Singapore Main Contractors is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the quantity surveying team in contracts administration.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and monitor performance for timeliness.
• Advise and resolve requests for equitable adjustments, disputes, and claims.
• Prepare and monitor project cost budgets and cash flow; track design changes and variations.
• Collaborate with project team and oversee QS in quotations analysis and award process.
• Draft contractual correspondence and finalize accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Participate in tender processes, lead quantity tabulation and pricing.

Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the quantity surveying team in contracts administration to ensure quality and timely delivery of their assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and monitor their performance to ensure compliance and adherence to project timelines.
• Advise and resolve requests for equitable adjustments, contract disputes, and claims with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and monitor project cost budgets and cash flow, track changes in design/construction work, manage variations, and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with the project team and oversee the quantity surveying team in the analysis, evaluation, and negotiation of quotations to ensure timely awarding of contracts to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Draft contractual correspondence and ensure the timely finalization of accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Participate in the project tender process, including leading the team in tabulating quantities and pricing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in the full cycle of construction project administration.
• Experience with Singapore Main Contractors is an advantage.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Essential knowledge of cost economics.
