Job summary

go global hr pte. ltd. is seeking a senior construction cost controller to prepare, review and manage budgets, cost plans and forecasts for building projects in Singapore.

The role requires close coordination with project teams to keep costs within approved budgets. You will perform quantity surveying tasks, cost estimation, tender evaluations and variation order assessments, analyse costs and risks, and report on the project financial status to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction cost control, budgeting, quantity surveying or project management.
• Experience in building construction projects, including residential, commercial or industrial developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, budgeting and project financial management.
• Able to analyse drawings, specifications, quotations and construction documents.
• Familiar with construction processes, subcontractor management and cost control practices.
• Good analytical skills with attention to details and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and manage project budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts for building construction projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets.
• Perform quantity surveying works, including cost estimation, tender evaluation and variation order assessment.
• Analyse project costs, identify potential cost risks and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and suppliers to control project expenses.
• Review construction contracts, quotations and subcontractor submissions.
• Prepare cost reports and provide regular updates on project financial status.
• Support management in project planning, budgeting decisions and financial control.
