Job summary

GO GLOBAL HR PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Construction Cost Controller to lead budgeting, cost control and quantity surveying for building projects. The role interfaces with project managers, engineers, contractors and vendors to keep expenses aligned with plans.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in cost control or QS, strong budgeting and financial management skills, and the ability to analyse construction documents and contracts with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction cost control, budgeting, quantity surveying or project management.
• Experience in building construction projects, including residential, commercial or industrial developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, budgeting and project financial management.
• Able to analyse drawings, specifications, quotations and construction documents.
• Familiar with construction processes, subcontractor management and cost control practices.
• Good analytical skills with attention to details and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and manage project budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts for building construction projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets.
• Perform quantity surveying works, including cost estimation, tender evaluation and variation order assessment.
• Analyse project costs, identify potential cost risks and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and suppliers to control project expenses.
• Review construction contracts, quotations and subcontractor submissions.
• Prepare cost reports and provide regular updates on project financial status.
• Support management in project planning, budgeting decisions and financial control.
