Job summary

Howden Insurance Brokers (S.) Pte. Limited, based in Singapore, is seeking a Senior Manager / Director for the Claims team. The role focuses on leading portfolio management, ensuring timely processing and guiding complex claim strategy.

You will mentor the team, collaborate with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while driving claims process improvements within Howden's Asia Pacific footprint.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience handling General Insurance Claims.
• Legal qualification (LL.B. or equivalent) or substantial experience in insurance law.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements governing General Insurance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of general insurance claims with timely, accurate processing.
• Direct and oversee daily operations of the claims team to meet service targets.
• Advise on coverage and strategy for complex and major claims.
• Mentor and support team members with your experience and expertise.
• Collaborate with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders for resolutions.
• Maintain accurate claims records and ensure regulatory and compliance adherence.
• Identify opportunities to improve claims processes and contribute to strategy.
